SHANE: I'LL SUE SINEAD

FORMER Pogues star Shane MacGowan is suing one-time friend Sinead O'Connor
after she shopped him to the police for heroin abuse last year.

Shane, due to answer heroin charges when he leaves the exclusive Priory
rehabilitation clinic, said: "I can get her on three counts for defamation
of character.

"One, she said I was an addict; two, I was skint; and three, I was incapable
of functioning at any level. That's just rubbish."

Former number one singer Sinead, now a priest, said: "I know he's hurt
by what I did, but I want Shane to know I love him very much."
