WYCLEF COMPARES 2 U Sinead O'Connor has teamed up with Wyclef Jean for work on her first new material since 1997. The pair have been working in an unamed New York studio with producer Kevin 'Shekspere' Briggs. News of the collaboration follows O'Connor's recent time spent with William Orbit, which is beleived to have been unfruitful. The new material will surface on Atlantic Records, O'Connor's 6th label since her 1988 Top 20 hit 'Mandinka'. She has previously released on Ensign, Island, ZTT, Chrysalis and Columbia. Meanwhile Sinead has responded to a recent article in Q magazine claiming she had reported Shane MacGowan to the police for alleged possession of Class A drugs.
